Latest News Latest News 26 April 2010 Robotics continues totally engulf a group of passionate students in our school. Those who love to design and build machines that must be operated remotely to solve problems faster than the opposition are right into robotics. Those who also love to write the software programmes that drive these machines are an integral part of the team. A group of six students and Mr Aston were in Dallas, USA, representing New Zealand in the world finals as at the end of April 2010. The college has involved a number of new year 9 students in the programme so we look forward to being champions for years yet. An enthusiastic group of students along with Mr Choromanski rebuilt our trolley and took first and second place in the recent North Shore Trolley Derby. Congratulations to Nicholas Mulholland and Cody Chase for their winning runs. We look forward to them upskilling the next drivers and pit crew for the 2011 event. In the 2010 Marine Challenge, our students so impressed with their ability to build and race a boat that they all got apprenticeships at boat builders. Congratulations to Jordan Collins, Enrique Johns, Josh King and Jordan Patching. Kate Southee has been chosen in the North Harbour U-18 A Hockey team for 2010. This is an outstanding achievement for a year 11 girl. She can hopefully look forward to even greater honours in the future. Don’t miss our Drama production this year “Beauty and the Beast”. It will once again be a great show for all ages. It runs from Wednesday May 12th till Saturday May 15th and tickets are $12 adults and $6 students, from the college.
