MUNA reps add a splash of colour
On Friday 16th and Saturday 17th May, James Holt, Ashleigh Scanlan and Abigail Malgapo (representing India), and Samyson Robinson, Chrystal Jones and Salman Salman (representing Ireland) attended the 2014 MUNA (Model United Nations Assembly). MUNA 2014 showcased an array of costumes, personalities and some of the upper North Island’s best aspiring diplomats.
The two day conference involving around 80 schools representing 100 countries, who are all members of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
The conference involves students carefully researching their assigned country in preparation for the discussion of six remits, an emergency situation and impromptu debate, as well as other matters which arose during the two days.
The representatives from Glenfield College were fantastic, and definitely left their mark.
