Technology-busy as ever
Year 11 L1 Wood Technology: Our Year 11 students in L1 Wood – constructions are completing their model house construction, using floor / post construction, putting up stud walls and roof trusses, this provides a pathway through to the construction trade and courses at Year 12 and 13.
Year 10 Textiles Technology: Our Year 10 students are currently constructing their onesies as part of their textiles project, for this they have to design the garment for a client / stakeholder. The must modify its look and size to fit.
Year 10 iTec – Digital Technology: Our Year 10 students have just finish a Adobe Photoshop and InDesign Digital Media unit on designing and making iTunes Artwork / CD Covers. As part of this they had to create and edit their own images within Adobe Photoshop, applying design effects. They then had to compile their Front and Back Cover in Adobe InDesign to create a professional print finish. This leads onto our Level 1, 2 and 3 courses
Year 10 Materials Technology: This Year 10 are designing tool boxes. This requires them to apply design and machine fabrication techniques. This includes metal bending, lathe and milling machine skills, welding. As part of this course they also develop their wood construction skills, through jointing techniques.
